SHAWNESSY

The community of Shawnessy is located immediately to the south of Millrise. Although development of this community has been underway since 1981, primarily in the form of single family residential development, much of the area remains undeveloped. Macleod Trail provides direct access to downtown. The extension of the Light Rail Transit (L.R.T) system to Shawnessy was completed in the fall of 2004.
